Typical 55 gallon Rain Barrel Installation

A typical installation where seasonal changes impact rain water storage and filtration: downspout filter collects large particulate matter; downspout diverter directs rain to the rain barrel; barrel fills and overflows into the underground landscape pipe. Flip the lever on the downspout diverter to bypass the rain barrel, sending rain water directly to the underground landscape pipe during winter months.
